I first heard about Eckhart Tolle about 3 years ago – I was reading a newspaper on a bus and there was an article about Jim Carrey, who had started to follow Eckhart’s teachings. The article also mentioned that Oprah Winfrey was a big fan of Eckhart Tolle and that he had appeared on her show.
I made a note of Eckhart Tolle on my mobile and thought nothing of it for a few days.
A short while later, I remembered the note I had made on my mobile and looked up Eckhart Tolle on the internet.
I was very impressed with Eckhart’s teachings – he comes across as a well educated man with some interesting and amusing stories.
His teachings make sense, and in our modern busy world of noise, chaos and financial melt downs, he provides an oasis of calm, which he claims is accessible to everyone by connecting with the present moment.
So who is Eckhart Tolle?
Eckhart is German born and studied at London University and Cambridge – he now resides in Vancouver.
Eckhart claims to have had a spiritual awakening experience when he was younger, which changed his perception of the world.
The awakening experience gave birth to his teachings, which he continues to teach today.
It is difficult to review Eckhart’s teachings because they have a timeless dimension, which Eckhart refers to as the power of now. The now being formless and beyond thought and words. To review Eckharts teachings would be like attempting to review the universe – it simply is.
Subscribers to Eckhart Tolle TV can login to the members section of the website and view his latest videos. Eckhart adds a new main video per month, which is usually a review of a book or an interview with a guest.
