I don’t like to complain on this blog, but from time to time something comes up that just gets me riled. In a nutshell, I had to take a flight from Norwich to Aberdeen – the train would just take too long – about 10 hours.
A one way flight from Norwich to Aberdeen with Eastern Airways or BMI regional currently costs between £174 and £222 depending on what time you with to travel.
Get this – a return flight from Norwich to New York costs £481, that’s just £40 more!
What is going on here? Why are Eastern Airways and BMI Regional allowed to charge these extortionate prices – its seems that this is a flight often used by oil workers, hence they can get away with it.
Flybe, one of the budget airlines were to start this route several years ago, but were mysteriously stopped due to an air control issue – yeah right!
